Dugg for thinking the ocean was the flood
Why waste time running anti-spyware? Why hog system resources with an always running anti-virus? Be it Gentoo or OSX, Solaris or BSD, Fedora, Suse, or Ubuntu... there's simply no need for that crap.
Hence why I was giving my copy to the poor linux guy ;-)
i just thought this comment needed a reply for emphasis
Kapersky Anti Virus; Spybot; Firefox with AdBlock; and a firewall enabled router. What more protection can a Windows user possibly need other than common sense?
I agree with Spuy767. I tried Red Hat for a while but it forked into Fedora and I didn't know where to turn so I ditched it. Then I tried Slackware for being such a lean distro but then they switched the official medium from CD to DVD which fattened it up so I ditched that too. Ubuntu and Mandrake are both pretty consistent in their mission so I feel more comfortable trying one of those distros, going back to Windows, and trying out a newer version a year later.
yea not dat funny
