That's great until you want to install something that isn't in the repositories yet.
The point is the idiotic "People still use..." comments are worthless. Yes...people still use the most popular program for anti-virus protection, just like people still use Google, iPods, Band-Aids and Coca Cola.
If anything, pandora should be higher on that list. It's a good way of me taking a random song that I liked, putting it in, and finding a bunch of new artists or even new musical styles that I've never heard of before. It's great for being introduced to new music.

If you don't pay attention to what you're doing and use a little common sense, you can mess Ubuntu up just as easy as Vista/XP/OSX/etc.
Fast enough sublight travel makes #4 a bit unnecesary... What may be impossible to do in a lifespan at 99% the speed of light is very much more possible at 99.999999% the speed of light.
