You DO realize, don't you, that 99.99999% of the country has never heard of this tape, right? so if they are planting it to prove how easy it is to get people to believe, then they are failing.
Or anything with the exception of NOD32 or (MAYBE) Grisoft's AVG.

If hackers target "Ubuntu's" kernel it would target linux as a whole. Hackers could target specific apps but they are also available to all other flavors of linux so that argument doesn't really hold a lot of water.
